Grammy-winning singer Alicia Keys is set to perform her brand new song and title-track “Girl On Fire” live at the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards this Thursday and she just released the remix “Inferno” to the track featuring YMCMB rap artist Nicki Minaj. The fifth album from A. Keys is scheduled for release on November 27th. Nicki Minaj just had everyone speaking of her controversial performance at the 54th Grammy Awards where she referenced exorcism and the Catholic church. For me, the performance was the only one of the night that was a complete mess & did not go along with the vibe of the night celebrating the life of Whitney Houston & other musicians who passed on in 2011/2012. METY chose not to post her previous track and video “Stupid H**” and while expletives do not bother us, we felt it was too derogatory with the use of the word repeatedly and may offend our audience of supporters. Now “Starships” returns to Nicki’s Pop/Electro music & while I prefer her hip-hop music more, this is okay. The track is from her upcoming sophomore album, which will be available on April 3rd.
