Marques Houston just delivered his brand new single “Give Your Love A Try” featuring Problem off his upcoming album entitled Famous, due August 27th.
Houston stated, “If I was going to make another album, I wanted it to be a classic.” So the formula Houston wanted this time around was a fusion of the past and the present, i.e. Marvin Gaye-meets-D’Angelo. “This album has more of a live feel to it that people will really enjoy,” explained Houston.

Chrisette Michele recently dropped her fourth studio album, Better, which is now available everywhere, if you don’t have it, you can order it on our METY sidebar now! Chrisette recently spoke of her new song “Ten Foot Stilettos” being inspired by Erykah Badu’s “20 Feet Tall” and how it’s just about flying high above any drama that’s trying to get you down. Also, Chrisette composed the track alongside Musiq Soulchild! One of my personal favorites off of the deluxe LP. Listen here… Continue reading

He will also duet with Bridget Kelly on the project. Listen here: Continue reading
Michael Francis took a one year break, which is the average work stoppage between new projects. The new music video for “Nona’s Reservoir” could be categorized as a short film rather than a music video. The visuals fold into a romance that was eclipsed before it could be fulfilled. The imagery is spot-on with Michael Francis’ audio narrative.
The wait has officially started for Michael Francis’ forthcoming project, luckily he is offering a free download.
Director: Marcus Catillo
Producer: Cito On The Beat

Ciara teamed up with Future and B.o.B. on the original remix to “Body Party,” and now she invites Ne-Yo over for the “gentlemen’s remix.” The R&B crooner unleashes his freak on the sultry jam, adding some provocative lyrics.
“Let me taste your party favors,” he tells CiCi, while comparing her to a delicious dish. “My dinner party, your body’s my entrée.”

Singer-songwriter Toy Taha officially releases the heart-wrenching third single “Move On Without You” from her upcoming debut project, I Am Woman… The R&B track speaks of a woman finally deciding to leave a relationship because of lies and broken promises. Basically, the woman realizes her man turned out to be someone other than what he portrayed himself to be in the beginning of the relationship and she realizes that she must let go. This song is special because it has a Sade sample & contains an interpolation from one of my most favorite Mariah songs “Crybaby” and I love, love, love both of them so much! Press play…
Move On Without You
Released 12 June 2013
Written & Arranged by Toy Taha; Lead & Background Vocals by Toy Taha; Produced by Price for Price Productions; Produced by Toy Taha for Face Music Entertainment; Recorded & Mixed by Nightmeer for Out of Orda Studio Productions.

Ok, if it wasn’t enough for me with the return of Remy Shand, my heart almost stopped when I learned that someone so special who has been one of the most influential in my music and creations…the amazingly talented Amel Larrieux is back! I have been completely dying for original new music from Groove Theory frontwoman Amel since her third solo LP, Morning in 2006! So this was a BIG moment for me & all of her fans! Her last release was in 2007 standards album Lovely Standards, but finally a new song entitled, “Afraid” is here!!!
“Almost walked into a wall imaging your embrace…/…Got me afraid of you, so fine sometimes I forget to breath,” sings Larrieux.
There’s currently no word on if the track will make the final sequence of her upcoming album Ice Cream Every Day. I am loving the new track with her signature sound & beautiful harmonies! Sounds so good & completely refreshing!!! This will definitely be in heavy rotation around my house, at the job, in the car…everywhere, LOL! Listen here…
