Let us congratulate R&B veteran in the game & one of my biggest inspirations ever Brandy on 20 years in the industry!!! Known as the “Vocal Bible” in the music industry, she has given us her all through music and she’s so special to me.
There are many singers, but Brandy has touched my life immensely. I have studied her through all of her albums & all of them mean something different to me. If I had to pick a favorite, it would be difficult, but the ones I ran until I couldn’t anymore were Full Moon and Never Say Never…the melodies, arrangements, harmonies, intricacies are the reason why we continue to celebrate the voice & woman that is Brandy!
Let us give Brandy her flowers while she is here doing what she loves most of all! View the tribute below of Brandy’s peers wishing her congratulations on this major accomplishment! Here’s to 20 more…LOVE you so much Bran! Continue reading

Jessie J’s highly-anticipated duet with R&B diva Brandy has sprung a leak. Entitled “Conquer The Word,” the empowering and uplifting record sees both great vocalists singing about overcoming life’s obstacles.
“The Brandy duet was a dream. It was on my dream list. I had the honor of meeting Brandy and working with her at the Clive Davis Pre-Grammy party, where myself, Monica and Brandy were doing the Diana Ross tribute. Obviously, sadly, that night Whitney passed. We never performed, but I was able to maintain a friendship with Brandy and Monica…. I wrote “Conquer The World” and was like ‘this would be an amazing duet with Brandy,” Jessie J shared in a recent interview with That Grape Juice.
“When I got it I started crying. It was a lot. She’s just Brandy. She’s amazing,” Jessie J adds about the final product.
Jessie J’s forthcoming album Alive, the follow up to her 2011 debut Who You Are, boast 13 tracks and features appearances from Becky G, Brandy, Big Sean and Dizzee Rascal, and production from Darkchild, Dr. Luke and Claude Kelly.
The set will arrive September 23rd. Continue reading
R&B veteran in the game Brandy recently revealed three clips of behind the scenes footage into her Japanese tour video diary for her amazing album, Two Eleven. The clips display a closer look into Brandy’s backstage world, as well as, her interactions with the band, dancers and Brandy just being silly having fun. Brandy celebrated 18 years in the music industry not so long ago, so these clips were rally nostalgic for me to watch with footage of B singing: “Sittin Up In My Room,” “The Boy Is Mine,” “Sitting On Top of The World,” “What About Us?” “Wildest Dreams” and where it all began “I Wanna Be Down.”
Brandy was also surprised by Roc Nation artist Rita Ora backstage following her performance. Watch the footage here… Continue reading
I tried to tell you about her! For the doubters, this is why R&B veteran Brandy made it to # 3 on METY’s 50 Best Albums of 2012. This song is one of the most powerful on the album to me. It’s as if you can hear her soul through the song & for her to just demolish a one minute snippet is so disrespectful, LOL! Simply perfection. Go ahead Bran! Continue reading
For the holiday season, R&B diva Brandy presented her fans The Starz with a gift in “How High.” According to Bran, the track was a previously unreleased song that did not make her latest LP, Two Eleven. The mid-tempo features a verse from her rap alter ego Bran’Nu. She sings, “When you say jump, I’ll say how high/ I wanna touch the sky.” Listen below. Continue reading
Although the legendary Dick Clark has passed his legacy he created over four decades ago will continue on! R&B superstar Brandy is slated to rock the house on ABC this year for Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve, which will now be hosted by American Idol’s Ryan Seacrest. I cannot wait to see the show this year! So far the line-up also consists of: Taylor Swift, Carly Rae Jepsen, Pitbull, OneRepublic, Fergie and more.
With all the stiff competition around, singer Brandy still does R&B in its finest as she proves in her latest video for “Wildest Dreams”. The smooth and midtempo ballad track is the second single off her comeback album “Two Eleven” and gives her fans a trip back to old school 90′s R&B.
Following her No. 3 hit “Put It Down”, which features rapper Chris Brown, this new song oozes positive vibes and tells about a new boyfriend’s devotion that exceeds the girlfriend’s wildest dreams. It sets listeners to move to the beat and the slick choreography that Brandy so effortlessly works out in the video is a perfect match for the song.
“Wildest Dreams” also sees B-Rocka in skimpy blue-jeans shorts, knee-high red boots and gems to die for as she performs the song with her back up dancers at makeshift club. These club scenes with crowds of loyal Brandy fans enjoying the show are then intercut with the singer’s stylish black-and-white solo performance. Continue reading
Don’t call it a comeback, she’s been here for years! One of my favorite singers, Brandy has proved yet again why her music matters & her voice needs to be heard! The R&B veteran dropped her sixth studio LP, Two Eleven last week, which debuted at #3 on Billboard’s 200 chart. This release marks Brandy’s first top 10 album in eight years. Under a new label and new direction, Brandy’s first project with RCA/Chameleon Records reportedly sold 65,000 copies in its first week, according to Nielsen SoundScan. She also landed at #1 on Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. Personally, I have been supporting Brandy as an artist for 18 years, so it’s wonderful to see her being received in this way because she truly deserves it! I LOVE the entire album. Two Eleven is a tribute to Brandy’s mentor and friend the incomparable Whitney Houston and it marks her fourth Billboard 200 top 10 and second #1 on R&B/Hip-Hop Albums, following 2002’s Full Moon. If you do not have the album…what are you waiting for? Go get it!!!
Brandy is a promotional machine these days. The diva performed “Put It Down” and danced her way to joy this morning on Good Morning America. She told the network that Dancing with the Stars helped her “awaken a confidence I thought would be gone forever.” She owes her smooth dance steps and choreography to Frank Gaston. Brandy told Essence.com,”I’ve been stepping my game up. I really want to be a great entertainer one day and get over my stage fright to make the stage like my second home.” Her latest album, Two Eleven, is in stores now. Continue reading

R&B veteran in the game Brandy just scored her first top ten hit in ten years with “Put It Down” featuring Chris Brown. According to Billboard, the song lifted 11-5 this week and falls closely behind Brandy’s last top 10 on the chart — “What About Us,” which peaked at #3 in 2002. Brandy’s sixth studio album, Two Eleven will impact music stores & digital outlets on October 16th. I’m a huge Brandy fan & I’m rooting for her. I really feel that this album will be some of her best work because Brandy has come into a new drive & hunger all over again. Yesterday, she released her promo dates via Facebook, stating that she will make appearances at the Wendy Williams show, 106 & Park, Live! with Kelly & Michael and more. Brandy humbly cherished the milestone of making Top Ten again tweeting, “I can’t lie-at one point I thought it was over for me in music but God had another plan thank you Father!” Two Eleven features productions by Frank Ocean, Rico Love, Jim Jonsin, Bangladesh and Sean Garrett. Make sure you purchase this album in support of good music!
