The Queen B is about to sting! Beyoncé’s new song “Grown Woman” just leaked in full length! Produced by Timbaland and co-written by The-Dream. Beyoncé included a snippet of the track in her most recent Pepsi campaign and she’s also performed the anthem live several times on the Mrs. Carter World Tour. No official word has been released as of yet on whether the track will make the final sequence of her upcoming fifth album, but I really hope it does! LOVE the African and tribal reference she incorporated for the instrumental. Listen below: Continue reading
Last month, when The-Dream previewed a handful of tracks off his upcoming IV Play album, one that caught plenty of folks’ attention was “Fire,” a sultry track that featured vocals from a breathy Beyoncé.
Well, on Tuesday (May 14), a snippet of another collaboration between the two — a slithering, snake-charmer sex-jam called “Turnt” — began making the rounds … and this one manages to raise the temperature even more.
Over a slowly simmering beat, Beyoncé takes on the advances of a would-be lover and proclaims “People think I’m crazy, but I love you ’cause you’re crazy too.” As slinky keyboards slowly unfurl, The-Dream shows up to boast about his prowess — he’s the reason all of these cute girls got babies, just in case you were wondering — and the track carnally clicks along. Turn the lights down low. Take your time with it. We definitely need a cold shower after listening to this one.
But is the song — which reportedly also features 2 Chainz, though he isn’t heard on the preview — legit? Well, according to a spokesperson for The-Dream, the answer is yes.
After plenty of delays (and a name change,) IV Play is finally set to hit stores on May 28. “Turnt” is on there, and there could be plenty more collabos between The-Dream and Beyoncé coming soon. Earlier this year, the man known as Terius Nash told MTV News that he and Bey are working on making “music that feels good” for her upcoming album.
“If you seen [Beyoncé's HBO doc, "Life is but a Dream,"], which was great, we had been talking about doing something that showcases who she is and what she wants because we see those figures that are so out of the stratosphere,” he said. “She’s just shooting to be regular and OK and not trying to appease everybody … “You have to appease yourself and your soul for doing it.”

Beyoncé and André 3000 go “Back to Black” with their highly-anticipated cover of Amy Winehouse’s 2006 classic. Mark Ronson, who co-wrote the original for the late soulstress, debuted the full song on his East Village Radio show on Friday night. The OutKast recluse delivers a haunting verse, while Bey seductively coos over the dark production.
“I’m flattered and honored. I know Amy would be too,” said Ronson of the duo’s cover.
The song can be found on The Great Gatsby soundtrack, available May 7. The star-studded lineup also includes Jay-Z, Fergie, Q-Tip, Lana Del Rey, Emeli Sandé, will.i.am, and more.

Beyoncé soaks up the sun in her scorching-hot commercial for H&M’s summer collection. In the fun and flirtatious ad, which was directed by Jonas Åkerlund (“Telephone”) in Nassau in the Bahamas, Mrs. Carter dances in the sand and splashes in the sea while modeling swimwear and beachwear. She sports a black bikini on the sandy shores, performs choreography in a flowing sun dress, and gets soaking wet in a bodycon dress.
The 90-second spot also features the debut of her Sia-penned song, “Standing on the Sun.” The clothing will be available beginning in May at H&M stores worldwide and online.
“I’ve always liked H&M’s focus on fun and affordable fashion,” says Beyoncé. “I really loved the concept we collaborated on to explore the different emotions of women represented by the four elements—fire, water, earth and wind. It was a beautiful shoot on a tropical island. It felt more like making a video than a commercial.”

When Beyoncé kicked off “The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour” last week, some fans were disappointed that she didn’t perform any new material. But she surprised her Paris fans by debuting “Grown Woman” live for the first time on Wednesday. Wearing a colorful Kenzo dress, Queen Bey performed the song in its entirety toward the end of her sold-out show at Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy.
“I’m a grown woman, I do whatever I want,” she sings while debuting some all-new choreography with her dancers and Les Twins during the tribal-themed set.
A snippet of the song, which was produced by Timbaland and penned by The-Dream, can be heard in her Pepsi “Mirrors” commercial.
G.O.O.D. Music’s Teyana Taylor was in the audience and tweeted, “Queen Bey. Carried. Snatched. Slayyyeeedddd.”
A new B song called “Standing on the Sun” can also be heard in her upcoming H&M commercial, which is set to debut on May 5.

Bow down, Belgrade. Beyoncé pulled out all the stops during the kickoff to “The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour” in Belgrade, Serbia, on Monday. A sold-out crowd of 20,000 packed into the Kombank Arena to witness the first of 65 dates on her globe-trotting trek. There were plenty of show-stopping moments including costume changes, choreography, pyrotechnics, and hit after hit.
The 31-year-old pop icon stormed the stage in a white beaded dress to her anthem “Run the World (Girls),” marching into “End of Time” with her troop of dancers.
Queen B turned heads in a dazzling wardrobe designed by Emilio Pucci’s Peter Dundas, Dsquared2′s Dean and Dan Caten, and Ralph and Russo, with shoes by Stuart Weitzman. She strut across the stage in a gold sequined dress (complete with nipples) and flew over the audience in a shimmering blue bodysuit for “Love on Top” and “Irreplaceable.” Continue reading

Witness all the details that went into making the 60-second spot—from the wardrobe to the choreography. Plus, you can hear more of B’s new song “Grown Woman.”
“It was an exciting artistic collaboration building this Pepsi campaign around my new song, ‘Grown Woman,’” said B. “It felt so emotional when I was trying on all the costumes from my past. I was surrounded by so much of my history, especially on the 10th anniversary of ‘Crazy in Love.’”
Her stylist Ty Hunter reminisced on some of her iconic looks, from the “Crazy in Love” jean shorts and red pumps to the gold dress from the “Run the World (Girls)” video.
Choreographer Frank Gatson Jr. set out to revolutionize the dance world with the new routine. “The movement that we tried to create was a little bit of fun, a little bit of country, a little bit of inner city urban,” he explained.
B summed up the commercial’s concept. “It’s being proud of who you were, but living in the now and living in the moment,” she said. “I’m very proud of how far I’ve gone and who I am now and who I’m surrounded by. This is really a beautiful concept and it makes me proud.” Watch here: Continue reading

Earlier this month, reports surfaced that Beyoncé was working on a remix to her chopped and screwed record “I Been On” featuring some Houston rap all-stars. Now Bun B unleashes the trill remix featuring himself, Z-Ro, Scarface, Willie D, Slim Thug, and Lil Keke.
“While you sleepin’ and snorin’, we creepin’ and pourin’/ Baddie Bey and the Bun, baby you can’t ignore ‘em,” raps Bun, who dedicates the song to his fellow UGK member Pimp C.
“This for Pimp C. Screw. H Town. PA,” he wrote.

Beyoncé continued her world domination today when she unveiled her highly anticipated H&M ads.
We kind of knew this was coming, though — rumors began to swirl back in January that the singer was working on a campaign for the Swedish retailer when one of her dancers at the shoot tweeted an accidental confirmation. But now the first shot is finally here!
The Inez & Vinoodh-lensed snap from the summer 2013 campaign features Bey lounging in the Bahamas in printed shorts, a silky blouse, high-heels and bangles. Sounds like it was plucked straight from her closet, no? That’s because the star herself had a hand in design, so prepare yourself for plenty of bodycon dresses and embellished bikinis.
“I’ve always liked H&M’s focus on fun and affordable fashion. I really loved the concept we collaborated on to explore the different emotions of women represented by the four elements — fire, water, earth and wind. Finally the wait is over!!! You guys know I’m hyperventilating right now because my favorite artist Beyoncé Knowles-Carter just unveiled “Bow Down/I Been On,” from her upcoming fifth LP. Sounds like the intro to the album, I do not believe this is the first official single, but she’s repping Houston hard & I’m LOVING it! “Bow Down” was produced by Hit-Boy and “I Been On” was produced by Polow Da Don, Timbaland, and Planet VI. For this track, B’s voice is chopped and screwed while she shouts out H-town legends Willie D, Pimp C, and UGK. Listen here… Continue reading
