The Lambs have a lot to look forward to! Singer extraordinare Mariah Carey has officially signed on to be a judge on the upcoming 12th season of American Idol and I’m so excited about this venture. I’m sure her longtime friend and collaborator Randy Jackson had something to do with the persuasion. Personally, I believe this is exactly what talent shows need most, an artist who actually possesses great talent in order to critique others. Also, Carey recently collaborated with Maybach Music Group in April with rappers Rick Ross and Meek Mill for her new single “Triumphant (Get ‘Em),” scheduled to drop early August!!! So LAMBS let’s make this MiMi’s 19th #1 single! The track was produced by Bryan-Michael Cox & Jermaine Dupri. Mariah stated on her Twitter page, “I wrote TRIUMPHANT when I was going through a difficult time & it helped me get through it,” she said. “When u hear it, pay attention 2 the lyrics #WIN.” The upcoming release will be her 13th studio album and it’s well overdue! I can’t wait to see her interact with the contestants, as well as, hear the direction she takes with the new album. Anticipation is killing me! Stay tuned.
