I’ll never forget the first time I heard the voice we now know as Tyrese. It stopped me right in my tracks & I actually backpedaled to the room to see exactly whose voice was on the television. The clip was his first feature where he was filmed singing on the back of a bus for a Coca-Cola commercial & it was so captivating…I just knew he would blow! The R&B crooner/actor gave his all on the latest concert segment for AOL Sessions. Tyrese performed live renditions of his very first single “Sweet Lady,” “How You Gonna Act Like That,” “Are You Ready,” and his first #1 song “Stay” off of his latest well-received album entitled, Open Invitation.

The late, great Amy Winehouse’s father Mitch just announced that there is more music to come from his daughter! Mitch Winehouse recently spoke to BBC Radio 6 to promote his new memoir “Amy, My Daughter,” in which all proceeds go to charity and during the chat, he revealed that there is enough material recorded by Amy for at least one to two posthumous LPs. Mitch stated, “I’m not sure that there is much more but I’m sure that we will get at least one other album out, if not two. There are loads of covers, loads of them, but the problem is we don’t want want to rip anybody off. When her fans are so precious to us we don’t want to put out dross.” I am really looking forward to this possible release because Amy was such a talent, I just don’t believe she realized how gifted she was! Amy clearly was an artist taken away too soon, but at least we have the possibility of more music to keep her legacy alive!

Platinum-selling artist P!nk recently unveiled the title of her highly anticipated sixth studio album, The Truth About Love, which is slated for release on September 18th (a day after my B-day…hint! hint! Lol!). The release will be offered as a standard and deluxe version, however the deluxe edition will only be sold exclusively at Target and will feature four bonus tracks. P!nk has reportedly collaborated with producer Greg Kurstin, who is known for productions with Red Hot Chili Peppers, Lily Allen and Foster The People & The Shins. As well as, long time collaborators Billy Mann, Max Martin & Shellback and Butch Walker. According to P!nk, this album will include her take on the different shades of love – the dark, the light, the happy and the sad. The Truth About Love’s first single, “Blow Me (One Last Kiss)” has already received good reviews thus far. P!nk is scheduled to perform at the iHeart Radio Festival on September 22nd in Las Vegas and will return to The Today Show performing on The Plaza on the album’s release day, September 18th. I can’t hardly wait to see what P!nk has cooked up alongside songwriter/producer Dan Wilson, who is responsible for Adele’s “Someone Like You” and I’m hoping she has a few collaborations with legendary Linda Perry again because their creations together are quite magical. Stay tuned!!!
