New Video: Lana Del Rey “Summertime Sadness”
29 Jul“Summertime Sadness” is the latest video released from Lana Del Rey. The track is off of her debut album, Born To Die and in the video, Del Rey acts as Jaime King’s lover who is overcome with grief. The video was actually directed by filmmaker Kyle Newman (King’s husband) and Spencer Susser. I love the cinematography and the vibe of her previous videos as well, to me, the visuals are really refreshing and they have a distinctive look that’s unlike anything else that’s currently out. Buzz: Beyoncé’s studio sessions & an upcoming “Footprint” date
27 JulSuperstar Beyoncé has something brewing and all of my METY viewers should already know how EXCITED I am! B recently posted a mysterious note announcing, “leave your footprint on 19 August 2012” on her official website. There are many possibilities on what this date could be, but no one knows as of yet whether it is pertaining to new music, the Revel dvd, an upcoming fan contest, etc. A few months ago producer Ryan Tedder released information that Beyoncé started recording in the lab once again and last week Solange (her sister) was snapped arriving at the studio to see B and most recently, British pop singer Conor Maynard, told the BBC that the Queen is going to great lengths in the studio to prevent songs from leaking – which happened with her last album, 4, which leaked one month prior to the official release date. Maynard stated, “I’ve heard some mad stories. With Beyonce, I heard that with her people they’ll make sure that there’s no-one in the studio. They go into the studio, wipe it, set up one new session for her to record. Once she’s finished recording they move it onto a hard drive. They wipe the studio computer again and then leave.” With her being my most FAV artist of today, whatever Beyoncé has up her sleeve, you all know METY will keep you posted!
