Frank Ocean put together a brief song he wanted his fans to hear entitled, “4 Tears”. Frank actually cringes at the term R & B and even though, this song is very soulful, he would rather not be placed in a box. I love what he has been dishing out, as well as, this song, although it is really more of an interlude. I’m looking forward to his studio album release in 2012. Listen here…
New Song: Frank Ocean “4 Tears”
27 DecNew Video: Ryan Leslie “Good Girl”
27 Dec
Ryan Leslie brings us video # 3 entitled “Good Girl” from a series of ten videos that will make up his visual album, Les Is More. Ok, I’m really feeling R-Les, he is serious! This honestly sounds better than a few rappers who shall remain nameless, just keep in mind that he is technically a SINGER! However, now that I’ve heard a handful of tracks that were more than solid, I will refer to him as a rapper, too! It’s only right!
Ryan recently stated, “Special thanks to my team for riding with me to make this video out of a three day trip to Vegas. Had the whips shipped in from Cali and moved into the corner Penthouse at the Cosmopolitan. Real life. Real rap.”
New Song: B.O.B. ft. Andre 3000 “Play the Guitar”
27 Dec
Produced by Salaam Remi, B.O.B. presents his second single”Play the Guitar” from his upcoming album Strange Clouds, due in stores in March. On the track, he has a special guest, none other than Andre 3000! I was excited about this collaboration because the first time I heard B.O.B. rap, this is what I envisioned! For me, Andre has the golden touch, he is the one who made this track what it is with his verse. The track also features a sample from one of B.O.B.’s inspirations, the King of the South, T.I. Press play… {Disclaimer: The following audio is explicit}
Remix: Rick Ross & Meek Mill “No Church in the Wild”
27 DecWhile Rick Ross prepares his upcoming mixtape Rich Forever & studio LP God Forgives, I Don’t, he has also been spewing out remixes left & right. This time around, Ross is joined by Philly’s own Meek Mill for a remix of Jay & Ye’s “No Church in the Wild”…when I first heard this song, I could not take it off of repeat, but I don’t know if the remix will have the same effect. It’s cool, but for me, it does not top the original. Listen here… {Disclaimer: The following audio is explicit}
New Song: Bei Maejor “Trouble Remix”
27 Dec
Singer-songwriter Bei Maejor remixes his hit “Trouble” produced by Jazze Pha, along with a few of his comrades: Wale, Trey Songz, T-Pain & J. Cole. This is a song I loved from the start, but the remix added a new dimension and that’s what a remix should be. Listen here… {Disclaimer: The following audio is explicit}
