I believe she is simply brilliant! I remember watching very candid behind-the-scenes footage for one of her concerts, where she spoke of drive, love for music, sexual orientation and then, she mentioned how much she did NOT like her voice years ago. I thought that was the craziest thing I’ve ever heard because her voice is flawless to me. Me’Shell NdegéOcello is a multi-instrumentalist who really touches me with her craft. She’s one of my FAVORITE artists ever. Me’shell’s art fuses jazz, soul, funk and blues genres. Most people recognize the song, “Fool of Me” from the Love & Basketball movie starring Sanaa Lathan & Omar Epps, but I’ve been on to her wayyyy before then. Taken from her “Bitter” album.
